World Nutella Day

05 Feb
Nutella is the brand name of a hazelnut chocolate spread. Manufactured by the Italian company Ferrero, it was introduced to the market in 1964.

Although the fans say Nutella is more than just a “chocolaty hazelnut spread,” it is a way of life.
From childhood memories to oozing hot crepes, from breakfasts on vacation to free-spooning sessions on the couch, Nutella is prominent in the memories of many children and grown-up children in the world.

History
World Nutella Day is not officially run by the company. The idea comes from a superfan Sara Rosso, owner of the non-offical Nutella fan page.
Established in 2007 and held on February 5 each year, World Nutella Day quickly grew into a global celebration with fans gorging themselves on jars of Nutella.
After 7 years, in 2013, Ferrero, the Italian company that makes Nutella, has ordered Ms Rosso to "cease and desist" from publishing anything with the Nutella name or logo on it.
Finally the company has stopped legal action against her.
